If one of your accounts or computers has not been hacked yet, just wait, it will happen. There are dozens of companies now providing “Threat Intelligence”. By the year 2023 it is projected companies will spend 12.6 billion dollars protecting themselves from the damages of cyber war predicted to be six trillion by 2021.
Threat Intelligence Defined. Threat intelligence, or cyber threat intelligence, is information an organization uses to understand the threats that have, will, or are currently targeting the organization. This info is used to prepare, prevent, and identify cyber threats looking to take advantage of valuable resources.

While cyber war cost trillions in damages worldwide, we are fighting a more sinister war, a war for our souls. It is a war we may not even think about on a day to day basis. But Satan and his army think of nothing else. We are battling an enemy we cannot see. He knows our strengths and weakness and will put untold numbers of his warriors in our path to bring us down. It would make life easier if we had warning signs pop up letting us know when we were spiritually entering dangerous territory. While we may not have physical signs, we have something even better.
“…and Moroni, also, knowing of the prophecies of Alma, sent certain men unto him, desiring him that he should inquire of the Lord whither the armies of the Nephites should go to defend themselves against the Lamanites. And it came to pass, that the word of the Lord came unto Alma, and Alma informed the messengers of Moroni, that the armies of the Lamanites were marching round about in the wilderness, that they might come over into the land of Manti…”
Book of Mormon, Alma 43:23-24
In this Book of Mormon account there is a terrible war between the Nephites and the Lamanites. Captain Moroni, asks the prophet, Alma, to go to the Lord and gather intelligence on the enemy. The Lord provided very specific information as to where the enemy was going. We are not left to the mercy of a seen or unseen enemy. IF we ask, the Lord will provide “threat intelligence” to understand the threats that have, will, or are targeting us. We can use this information to prepare, prevent and identify the threats against us. One small thing we can do this week is to ask every day, “What do I need to stop doing?” and “What do I need to start doing?” Heavenly Father knows our strengths and our weaknesses and will provide us the guidance needed to protect us.
